 Two days until I enter!!

And I'm sick :( Some sort of upper respiratory bug. Yuck.

Today my mom is throwing a going away party for family and close friends.

Tomorrow I'll be going to Drew to say good-bye

Monday I'll be entering the monastery!

I'm finally all packed for the monastery, but my room is a disaster area. My parents aren't making me pack everything up in my room and stuff sooooo I don't have that much to do.

Kind of overwhelmed. Because I'm not freaking out I'm kind of worried that once I enter I'll be like "ahhh". 

Dunno.

Prayers please :)

My prayers will be with you, your family, and your friends. I know first hand that it is not easy for them to let go. A very close friend of mine just entered the Poor Claires in Hanceville last Monday. I went to her entrance. It was not easy, but I wouldn't have missed it.

It saddens me that professed followers of Jesus feel the need to create deaf, dumb, lifeless, and inaccurate portrayals of my Savior for public display. Jesus Christ is alive in heaven and reveals himself quite clearly to the eyes of faith through the preaching of the gospel. Looking at this carved image of a skinny, caucasian bearded guy on a cross is neither profitable nor in accord with the 2nd Commandment.

"Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them. They are worthless, a work of delusion; at the time of their punishment they shall perish. Not like these is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things..." (Jer. 10:14-16)

"O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified." (Gal. 3:1)
